Hp Pavilion Dv2800t Review

The HP Pavilion dv2800t Artist Edition series notebook is a notebook “designed by young people and chosen by young people” for its unique style. This notebook has all the creature comforts as the standard dv2700t, with the only addition being a custom paint job. For notebook enthusiasts who want to stick out from the crowd, this is a sure bet to get noticed at school or your local StarBucks.
HP Pavilion dv2800t Artist Edition Series Notebook specs: Intel Core 2 Duo processor T5750 (2.0 GHz), 14.1″ WXGA High-Definition HP BrightView Widescreen Display (1280 x 800), Vista Premium, 128MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS, 2GB SDRAM, 120GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive, Super Multi 8X DVD+/-R/RW w/Double Layer Support, 4965AGN Network Connection and Bluetooth, High Capacity 6 Cell Lithium Ion Battery, Webcam + Microphone, Microsoft Works 9.0, one-year limited warranty
Among the HP Pavilion dv2800t design elements are the bonsai tree, a Chinese dragon head, samurai warriors, and the yin-yang symbol. As an Asian-American, I was ready to roll my eyes from the overuse of all these stereotypes I grew up with—but the more time I spent with this laptop, the more I appreciated its look as a whole. While the bits and pieces of Asian culture are blatant, the details are subtle, so they work off the background without interfering with the overall design.

While the bits and pieces of Asian culture are blatant, the details are subtle, so they work off the background without interfering with the overall design. The use of warm colors—brown, orange, and a soft blue—tied everything together, giving it a vintage look.
The winning design in Global Design Competition created by HP and MTV is displayed on the rear enclosure and palm rest, wallpaper mirrors the image so you can see it even when the notebook is closed. The matching art design messenger bag is also included. The HP Pavilion dv2800t features a 14.1″ widescreen display, the latest Intel Core 2 Duo “Penryn” 45nm processor options, the NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS 128MB discrete video card, up to 4GB of system memory and up to 250GB hard drive, a DVD burner or HD-DVD ROM, the Intel PRO/Wireless 4965AGN Connection with Bluetooth, and a built-in web camera.
